Nicole Markert is a bisexual poet who is a recent Eastern University graduate and is a recipient of the Thyra Ferre Bjorn Creative Writing Award. Her work has been featured or is forthcoming in Furrow, SWWIM Every Day, and Glass: A Journal of Poetry. She is currently a poetry reader for Split Lip Magazine and is pursuing an MFA in Poetry as well as an M.A in Publishing at Rosemont College.
She is currently serving as an Editorial Assistant for Caregiving Advice and a poetry reader for Split Lip Magazine. She is also a former intern for for Saturnalia Books. Right now, she can be found working on her first chapbook or binging manga or anime. She also loves stalking Twitter and keeping up with pop culture. She is also a cancer, a nature lover, and frequently takes walks barefoot.
