Nicole Markert is a bisexual poet who is a recent Eastern University graduate and is a recipient of the Thyra Ferre Bjorn Creative Writing Award. Her work has been featured or is forthcoming in Rust + Moth, Furrow, SWWIM Every Day, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, among others. She is currently a poetry reader for Split Lip Magazine and is pursuing an MFA in Poetry as well as an M.A in Publishing at Rosemont College. She currently resides in the Philadelphia area.

She is a former intern and occasional poetry prize reader for for Saturnalia Books. Right now, she is currently working on her first full length work (whether it’s a chapbook or collection, she doesn’t know yet, unfortunately). She also loves stalking Twitter and keeping up with  pop culture. She is also a cancer (sun, moon, and rising), a nature lover, and frequently takes walks barefoot.

She will be using this site to to talk in third person through bio updates and making posts regarding poetry news (pubs, book reviews/recs etc) as well as the occasional blog posts about video games, anime, comics, & graphic lit.
