Nicole Markert is a bisexual poet who is a recent Eastern University graduate and is a recipient of the Thyra Ferre Bjorn Creative Writing Award. Her work has been featured or is forthcoming in Rust + Moth, Furrow, SWWIM Every Day, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, among others. She is currently a poetry reader for Split Lip Magazine and is pursuing an MFA in Poetry as well as an M.A in Publishing at Rosemont College.

She is also an occasional contributor for Caregiving Advice as well as a former intern for for Saturnalia Books. Right now, she can be found working on her first chapbook or binging manga/anime. She also loves stalking Twitter and keeping up with  pop culture. She is also a cancer (sun, moon, and rising), a nature lover, and frequently takes walks barefoot.
