Nicole Markert is a bisexual poet who is a recipient of Eastern University’s the Thyra Ferre Bjorn Creative Writing Award. Her work has been featured or is forthcoming in Hobart, Rust + Moth, Furrow, SWWIM Every Day, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, among others. She is currently a poetry reader for Split Lip Magazine and is pursuing an MFA in Poetry as well as an M.A in Publishing at Rosemont College. She currently resides in the Philadelphia area.
She is a former intern and occasional poetry prize reader for Saturnalia Books. Right now, she is currently working on her first full-length collection. She also loves stalking Twitter and keeping up with pop culture. She is also a cancer (sun, moon, and rising), a nature lover, and frequently takes walks barefoot.
She will be using this site to to talk in third person and make posts regarding poetry news (pubs, book reviews/recommendations etc.) as well as the occasional blog posts about video games, anime, comics, & graphic literature.
